Juniper berry is reported to possess antimicrobial activity against a range of organisms that are often difficult to eradicate, including Clostridia, E.coli and Staphylococcus. Jujube Extract (Wild Jujube) 120 Capsules
Jujube has been shown to calm excitotoxin activity of glutamate in the brain. When glutamate excess is a problem, when over stimulatory behaviors are an issue, then jujube can be used as part of a program to balance glutamate and GABA. Jujube is part of the BeCalm Spray designed for aiding in glutamate and GABA Balance. The BeCalm spray is an oral route of administration and jujube capsules can also be added as needed for additional support via another route of administration. Also for those who cannot tolerate the oral sprays or choose not to use oral sprays, jujube can be used along with a range of other herbs and supplements to help balance excess glutamate.
Kidney Beef VegiCaps
I like to use whole organ extracts as well as supplements and herbs to support the system. There are minor components of whole organ extracts that may be missed in more purified compounds, and I feel that some of these minor compounds are important to support healthy organ function. The kidneys are the key organ for excretion of liquid waste. When creatinine levels are particularly high or toxic metal excretion is significant on urine toxic metal tests then the kidneys may need additional support. The use of a Kidney Glandular Extract along with low dose Kidney Nucleotide Blend and Dandelion Leaf are supplements to seriously consider when the kidneys are under stress.
Kold Kare Tablets
I consider this to be a staple for your medicine cabinet in the winter months. One of my daughters really struggles with swollen glands and viral infections during the winter months. This is in part due to the fact that she works with children in a ‘hands on’ fashion teaching dance and yoga. In addition she has a rigorous exercise schedule that can put physical strain on the body. Over the years she has found a combination of supplements and herbs that help her to recovery in literally a day or so, even with more significant viral issues, including the flu. A critical part of her ‘regime’ includes the use of Kold Kare up to three times a day. In addition, each time she takes a Kold Kare she also uses a Seasonal Support Capsule, an Intact Multigland and one or more of the Homeopathic supports. The Homeopathic options she uses include Wellness Cold and Flu, or Oscillococcinum or Clear Sinus and Ear capsules.
Krebs Magnesium Potassium Tablets
I prefer that magnesium is higher than calcium in the system and that potassium is higher than sodium in the system. These levels can be assessed by looking at HE tests as well as UTEE tests. When extra magnesium or potassium is needed this Krebs Magnesium/Potassium can be considered as a source of support. This is especially useful when the Krebs cycle (otherwise known as Citric Acid cycle) intermediates are too low on a MAP test or an Organix test. When the body has a particularly high burden of thallium or aluminum those metals can negatively affect the Krebs cycle and that may be another circumstance where Krebs minerals such as Krebs Magnesium/Potassium or Krebs Zinc should be considered for support.

KuShen Sophora flavescens (root)
KuShen has been reported to calm excitotoxin activity of glutamate. When glutamate excess is a problem, and when over stimulatory behaviors are an issue, then KuShen can be used as part of a program to balance glutamate and GABA along with the use of BeCalm Spray, GABA Balance, Valerian, CoQ10 and other supports for glutamate/GABA Balance. In addition KuShen has been suggested to help with some cases of asthma and to decrease excess eosinophils in the lung. High levels of eosinophils are noted in cases of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, H.pylori and CFS. Current research suggests that Mycoplasma may also be a trigger for Mast Cell activation and increased eosinophil levels. Running tests for Mycoplasma as well as Respiratory nucleotide blend may be worth considering as part of a more complete approach to Mast Cell Activation.
Vitamin K from Super K Softgels
Vitamin K is important for proper clotting of blood, to help with excessive bruising and bleeding, for calcium transport in bone, is often an aid in reducing dark circles under the eyes and may be able to decrease the inflammatory mediator IL6. When females are menstruating they may want to consider the use of extra vitamin K. Those who bruise and bleed easily may want to consider support and those who have used antibiotics may want to consider extra support. Normal bacterial flora in the gut are what help to naturally produce vitamin K. If antibiotics have been used, or if normal flora are out of balance these are all reasons to consider extra vitamin K. Daily use of a vitamin K gelcap is a regular part of my supplement regime as well as that of my daughters.
Kelp from Super Kelp Tablets
Kelp may be helpful to support the thyroid, for low iodine levels, for weight management and potentially cancer prevention. Kelp may also be a source of potassium and iodine.
Lactobacillus Capsules (Perishable)
This is a probiotic or the natural bacteria that line your intestinal tract. It is important to repopulate your body with normal flora; this program chooses to use only Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium for support of normal flora. Lactobacillus 100 capsules contain three important strains of Lactobacillus including L.plantarum and L.rhamnosus both of which are reported to aid in addressing H.pylori. In addition, I suggest a source of L.reuteri for those concerned about H.pylori such as the Digestive Health chewable or Gastrus tablets. As a source of Bifidobacter considering rotating the use of Lactobacillus 100 with either Flora-Elite and/or NutriClean and/or Supremadophilus. Lactobacillus reuteri in Digestive Health Chewable Tablets (Gut Health)
Lactobacillus reuteri in Chewable Gastrus Tablets
Lactobacillus reuteri has been reported to help lower the level of H.pylori as well as other non-ideal organisms in the gut. . A recent study also demonstrated the reversal of certain autistic behaviors in animal models when supplemented with Lactobacillus reuteri. This chewable form of Lactobacillus reuteri is ideal for those who cannot swallow capsules or tablets. In addition, this is a source of xylitol which has been reported to be useful for dental health and to help limit ear infections. Lactobacillus reuteri has also been reported to be particularly useful for female health and aiding in vaginal flora. I like to use a source of L.reuteri along with other strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacter for a more complete range of support for normal flora in the body. Using a range of normal flora is a key to laying the groundwork for gut health in my opinion. I feel that rotating sources of normal flora work best in terms of populating your system with ideal flora. Lactoferrin (apolactoferrin) Capsules
Lactoferrin is a natural component of tears, saliva, and milk. It is part of the first level of defense of your natural immune system to aid in protecting against bacteria, viruses and fungal infections. Lactoferrin helps to transfer iron to where it needs to be in the body. This has two positive impacts, first it does aid in being sure you have the iron you need where you need it. Second it prevents bacteria and viruses from having access to that iron which is important as iron increases bacterial virulence. Excess free iron can be a problem for those who are SHMT + as iron further increases the activity of that pathway, and that can deplete much needed intermediates from the methylation cycle. Also excess free iron may increase issues with bacterial, viral and fungal infections. For this reason the use of lactoferrin serves multiple roles in the body. Because lactoferrin is so important for those who are SHMT +, the AHCY/SHMT capsule is a highly purified source of lactoferrin that can be used by those needing lactoferrin support as well as those with SHMT or AHCY SNPs. The compounded supplement MitoForce also includes lactoferrin as well as NaturoMycin capsules. Because lactoferrin is extracted from milk, there have been some questions in the past about its use in casein free individuals. The casein content of the lactoferrin in AHCY/SHMT capsules, NaturoMycin and MitoForce has been tested and found to be at levels that are extremely, extremely low. The results are that the lactoferrin used in these products contains 1 ppm (part per million) casein which is equal to 0.0001% casein. For comparison, ghee is generally considered safe for those who are casein sensitive. Ghee has 0.11% casein or 1200 ppm compared to MitoForce with only 1 ppm. In other words ghee has 1000 times more casein than MitoForce. Another point of comparison is that when foods are labeled as gluten free they need to be below 20 ppm, so again MitoForce at 1 ppm is significantly lower. According to the testing lab “The FDA set the limit” for gluten-free labeling at 20 ppm because this is the lowest level that can be consistently detected with the current analytical methods. However, with casein or other milk proteins there is no limit so the label still has to say “contains milk” if there are trace amounts. The 1.2 ppm is very low, so even though the label can’t change this is a good piece of info to share with people who are worried about the milk allergens.”
Lecithin Softgels
Lecithin is a source of choline, as well as phospholipids. I prefer to use the Phosphatidyl Serine Complex as a source of the phospholipids PS/PE/PC/PI. However there have been reports that the use of lecithin can be an aid in weight loss and in these cases, lecithin may help to support both phospholipids as well as a healthy balanced weight.
Libido-F Liquid Filled Capsules
This combination can serve as support for low libidos in both men and women. This balance of herbs can be useful for women who have a reduced libido due to the use of birth control pills, exhaustion or menopause. Damiana in particular that is included in this capsule may be a real help for libido for both men and women. This capsule also includes Tribulus and horny goat weed, both of which have been reported to aid in libido for both males and females. Yohimbe can be combined with Libido-F for additional support for the libido.
Liposomal GABA with L-Theanine Pump
(GABA Pump with L-Theanine with Sunflower Phospholipids)
GABA helps to balance excess glutamate. Too much glutamate excites nerves to death and can be responsible for a range of issues including eye twitching, difficulty sleeping, seizures, increased stims, lack of eye contact, aggressive behavior, decreased bowel motility, headaches amongst other issues. The use of urine amino acid tests and neurotransmitter tests give a sense of glutamate levels. When glutamate is too high, in addition to limiting the ingestion of glutamate (or other excitotoxins) the use of GABA can be a real help in addressing these issues. There are several options for supplementing GABA. Those options include GABA Balance (which is made especially for my program) as well as GABA Calm, Topical GABA, BeCalm Spray and Zen (which is a combination of GABA and theanine). The value of GABA pump with theanine is that it can either be used topically or as an oral spray for those who cannot swallow capsules or handle higher doses of supplements. Theanine is another calming ingredient but it may not be well tolerated by those who have trouble with methyl donors.

I feel that it is very important to be sure lithium is in balance before adding higher doses of B12 or 5 methyl THF, otherwise there is a risk of further depleting already low levels of lithium. The use of the lithium drops can be considered by those who have trouble swallowing pills or need a lower dose of lithium for support such as younger individuals. AS ALWAYS please work with and defer to your own doctor on supplement choices and in particular when adding extra separate sources of lithium. In addition I believe that Potassium, ATP and MitoForce should also be considered when supporting with extra lithium.

Liver Beef Vegicaps containing Liver Glandular Extract
The liver is a key organ involved in detoxification. In my opinion, keeping your liver healthy is key to wellbeing. I like to use organ glandular extracts (whether it is liver, kidney, pancreas, or adrenal) as I feel that it supplies nutrients that may be missing from the body and takes some of the pressure off the body to produce these compounds. In addition to the use of liver beef extract there are several other options for liver support I like to use. These include low dose Liver Nucleotide Blend, the MTHFR A1298C Liver Support capsules and Dandelion Root.
Lutein Plus Capsules
This combination of lutein, zeaxanthin and bilberry is designed to be supportive for the eyes. All three of these components have been reported to have positive impacts on the eyes and may be considered for those with higher levels of toxic metals that may accumulate in the eyes as well as those with aging eyes. In addition, according to studies these compounds may help with macular degeneration.
Lycopene Softgels
Lycopene may be a helpful addition for those concerned about prostate health as well as cardiovascular health. This can be combined with Saw Palmetto, Prostanex and Prostate Plus Nucleotide Blend for those who desire more prostate support. As always defer to your own doctor with any prostate concerns.
Lysine Tablets
Low dose lysine is included in the amino acid support compound called AminoAssist. The idea behind AminoAssist is to support amino acids in a more general manner without adding those amino acids that can over excite nerves such as glutamate or aspartate. AminoAssist is a great supplement for those who have a range of amino acids that are low on a UAA and need more general additional support. When a specific amino acid is low on a UAA, such as lysine, then support with just that amino acid can be considered. Lysine tablets can be used when more general amino acid support is not needed but when specific lysine support is desired due to low levels on a UAA or if cold sores from HSV are a problem. Studies suggest that lysine may help with cold sores due to Herpes. When lysine is used for this purpose the addition of IMF 1, 2 and 6 (these three can be rotated, using only one of each daily) as well as Elderberry and low dose Moducare and Monolaurin to help with virus and Herpes in the system. The use of Topical Skin Nucleotide Blend or Clear Skin Spray applied directly to cold sores may also be helpful.
